Click to enlarge Photo NEWSFLASH: If you attended or supported the 2009 festival event, then this is something you will truly enjoy!  It’s a pleasure to share a special moment that reflects what the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festivals bottom line is really all about; the wonderful magic of ‘giving’.   Pictured is Mrs. Fleming, the Principal of Paw Paw School in Paw Paw WV, presenting a check to Mr. Poniris, the Vocational Education Teacher. For the 2nd year in a row, the Festival has been able to present a check for $500.00 to the Vocational Educational Class at the Paw Paw School.   Although it’s a small facility with approximately 200 students, from kindergarten through twelve, they have proven to be award winning young people filled with imagination, perseverance, and enthusiasm for any project.   Developing skills and utilizing talents, these students will use the donation to develop an agricultural ‘crop’ project that relates to fiber.    There is no doubt this donation by the SVFF will provide an avenue of growth for students who might not otherwise have had an opportunity to pursue such projects.   This is only one of many programs that the SVFF supports and it’s a very rewarding chance to help keep a positive momentum going in the most difficult of economic times when schools are often not as well funded as we would all hope.   If you didn’t attend last year’s event, please come join us this year and MAKE A DIFFERENCE; be a part of a wonderful weekend of fiber fun and comradely.   If you are thinking about becoming a vendor, just click on the registration page for more details on how you can join our growing family.     Printer Directions Click Festival Location Located in picturesque Clarke County, Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival is held at the Ruritan Fairgrounds in Berryville.  You will find easy access off US 7 about 13 miles east of Winchester. ----------------------- There's plenty of parking, easy walking, and comfortable resting areas.  Shenandoah Fiber Festival offers quality activities and exhibits without the multi-thousands crowds found in some other regional festivals.  Leave the pushing and shoving to others and enjoy the relaxed Virginia Hunt Country ambience. ------------------------------ Festival Admission Charge $5 per person, children under 12 enter free free raffle ticket with each paid ticket (extra raffle tickets $1 each) ----------------- Sorry!  No pets allowed at the Festival. show animals spook easily
